Dishwalla is an alternative rock band. The band's name comes from an Indian term for a person providing cable television to a neighborhood. The band members consists of Scot Alexander, Pete Maloney, J.R Richards, George Pendergest, Rodney Browning and Jim Wood. Rodney claimed the band took the name out of a Wired magazine article, according in a Vox interview.

Dishwalla made a big splash in 1996 with their catchy pop single "Counting Blue Cars." With the gritty heart and soul of those who came before them, Dishwalla's hard rock sound was enough for fans to make Counting Blue Cars one of the most-requested songs of that year. The song also garnered the band a Billboard award for Rock Song of the Year and allowed their debut album, Pet Your Friends, to sell more than a million copies.

Their 1998 follow-up album, And You Think You Know What Life's About, failed to sustain the level of popularity achieved by "Counting Blue Cars". (Partially responsible for the situation was Universal's 1998 purchase and dissolution of A&M/Polygram, the label that produced the two albums.) The group is remembered for their creative compositions and the smooth yet powerful vocals of J.R. Richards. Their unique style and musical talent landed them many movie and TV series ventures.The band have since made a handful of other ventures into the limelight. In 1999, the song "Stay Awake" was featured in the movie Stir of Echoes. In 2002 the song "Home" was in the movie The Banger Sisters, and the The WB series Charmed spotlighted Dishwalla as musical guests in one episode. Other TV shows that have used their songs include Smallville, The OC and Cold Case. The band, which has a loyal fan following, has gone on to release two more studio albums, Opaline and the self-titled Dishwalla, as well as a live album, Live…Greetings From The Flow State.

In 2006, the band decided to take a break from recording. And in 2008, Dishwalla returned to touring with a modified lineup. The band's original drummer George Pendergast and the lead singer of Tripdavon, Justin Fox, as "Special Guest Vocalist" will be playing shows.

Former American Idol season 5 fourth-place finisher Chris Daughtry stated that he would form a new band after turning down Fuel's offer to make him their lead singer named Daughtry. Chris is a singer-songwriter himself and has collaborated with several other songwriters, such as Live's Ed Kowalczyk, Fuel's Carl Bell, 3 Doors Down's Brad Arnold, Matchbox Twenty's Rob Thomas, SR-71's Mitch Allan, Shinedown’s Brent Smith, and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger.

Daughtry is a rock band from North Carolina. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2006. The disc reached number one for two non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, outsold Idol winner Taylor Hicks' debut effort, sold more than four million copies and was named the number one selling album of 2007 by Billboard. Their album is also the fastest-selling debut rock album in Soundscan history. The first single from the album, "It’s Not Over", was the eighth most played song across all formats on U.S. radio in 2007, and their second single from the album, "Home", was the tenth most played song in the U.S. of 2007.

The band's self-titled debut album was produced by Howard Benson and was released by 19 Entertainment and RCA Records on November 21, 2006. Chris played a big part in the album, particularly in songwriting. He had a part in writing/cowriting all but two songs on the album (Feels Like Tonight and What About Now). Chris fully wrote Home, Breakdown and Gone. Hit writers Dr. Luke and Max Martin contributed to the album. Session drummer Josh Freese played drums on all the tracks for the album. The album's first single, "It's Not Over", debuted on the radio on December 6, 2006, after being delayed from a planned September release. The song was an instant success, shooting up the Billboard Hot 100 reaching #4 and hitting the top 3 in several other charts.

The Script are an Irish trio rock band from Dublin, Ireland. The new sensational alternative, pop band are currently based in London after signing to RCA Label Group imprint Phonogenic, and their debut album "The Script" was released in August 2008.

This is a whole new brand of Celtic Soul, blending hip hop lyrical flow with pop melodiousness, state-of-the-art R'n'B production with anthemic rock dynamics, classic song construction with gritty contemporary narratives.

Mark and Danny are former producers who worked with Rodney Jerkins the Neptunes, Teddy Reilly and Dallas Austin. They were based in the US, but moved back to Dublin where they recruited Glen for their new band.

Their debut single "We Cry" received 'Single of the Week on RTE 2FM, Today FM, and by Jo Whiley on BBC Radio, and was Kevin Hughes' tune of the week on GCap Media's The One Network show Music Control. Their second single which I enjoyed most and one of my favorite is the "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" was also Kevin Hughes Tune Of The Week on Music Control Radio, as well as Jo Wiley's pet sound. Their debut album The Script reached number 1 in the UK and Ireland the week it came out.
